Design / Logo file SubmissionGraphic File Format StandardsThe following are the graphic file formats that we accept for
producing signs. All files can be e-mailed to Design@SignGraphics-Design.com Note: the server limits the size of e-mail to 00kb. If you have a larger file you may zip the file or split the file into several messages. All files and disks need to be PC formatted. Vector-based art workFor logos and line/vector-based art, please provide files in one of the following formats: .AI (Adobe Illustrator Vector
Graphic) Raster/Bitmap-based art workFor photographs, pictures or raster/bitmap-based graphics, please provide files in one of the following formats: .BMP (Windows / OS/2 Bitmap Graphics) A .TIF image is preferred for raster/bitmap images. Resolution of 300 dpi is preferred, lower (100 dpi) may be acceptable. To convert dpi to inches take your target size and multiply by 300. An example is a 3x5 converts to 900x 1500 for typical printing resolution. We can accept Adobe Illustrator files from PC or Macintosh systems. Any Adobe Illustrator file should be in its original .ai or .eps format (we would prefer both files be provided). You may also provide a copy of any fonts used or save as curves. Vectored files with unique typefaces require the corresponding font. Saving the typefaces as curves no longer requires the typeface to upload. You will find save options when your art work is open in the "file" menu under the item "save as". At that location select "Illustrator.EPS" and save with the other settings on the defaults. For digital images you may not choose to save them as .JPG files. With some non-photographic graphic .JPG files a "lossy" problem occurs that causes the original data to be lost. This issue becomes visible when working with large-scale digital images. GIF files with 256 colors are not recommended for quality photographic digital reproductions.
